      • Advice

        We have a team of specialist Innovation Advisors that are here to work with SMEs to help ensure their innovation is successful. Their time is free and using their innovation and sector knowledge can have a significant impact on your business.
         

        • Support and Funding

          Working with the University of Derby’s Institute for Innovation in Sustainable Engineering (IISE), we now have various levels of support and funding available for SMEs in the D2N2 area (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire).  This includes fully-funded access to expertise and co-operation with university research centres and institutes and part-funding (grant) towards the external costs of innovation projects.  Please click here or call us for more information: 01509 635211
           

          • Collaboration

            We actively encourage collaboration between universities and SMEs as we firmly believe that these connections can provide the best route to innovation in many cases. We are currently running an open call for Collaborative Research and Development projects for D2N2 SMEs collaborating with a UK based university or research institute.             • Development

              We recognize that companies don’t always have the time or resources to fully investigate the viability of their innovation ideas. To address this, our internal Researcher is able to provide up to 2 days of time spent on general research activities. This can often provide enough information to help a company decide whether to take their innovation idea further.
